NP (SL) Limited Strengthens Service Delivery with Newly Upgraded Kissy Bye-Pass Fuel Station

Speaking during the commissioning ceremony, the CEO of NP (SL) Limited, Dr. Ing. Mohamed S. Kanu, reaffirmed the Company’s commitment to expanding access to quality fuel services across Sierra Leone and beyond. He emphasized that NP-SL remains a uniquely Sierra Leonean company that continues to invest in infrastructure while empowering local professionals to build and manage its operations.

“Today is one of my happiest days at NP-SL. In my fifteen years with the Company, this is the first time I am witnessing the opening of NP station in Sierra Leone, having previously opened stations in Guinea, Liberia, Côte d’Ivoire, and The Gambia,” the CEO stated. Dr. Kanu further highlighted that NP maintains one strong and recognizable brand identity across all countries where the company operates, reflecting its commitment to excellence, reliability, and regional growth.

The CEO also highlighted the Company’s commitment to innovation through the introduction of the NP Energy Pass Card system, a solution designed to make fuel purchases more convenient, secure, and transparent for customers nationwide.

Adding to the occasion, NP-SL Sales Manager, Mr. Manso Augustine Kamara, emphasized the Company’s enduring message that “Every Litre Counts.” Addressing bike riders and ‘Keh Keh’ riders, he noted that every litre purchased contributes directly to national development and community transformation.

He highlighted several impactful initiatives funded through customer patronage, including the construction of Sierra Leone’s first Burns Unit at Connaught Hospital, borehole facilities for the Fire Force and Independent Secondary School Kissy, and squash facilities in schools and institutions across the country. Mr. Kamara assured customers of excellent service delivery at the NP Kissy Bye-Pass Fuel Station and reiterated the Company’s commitment to continuously modernizing fuel purchasing systems for greater convenience and transparency.

Gracing the ceremony, the Director General of National Petroleum Regulatory Authority, Mr. Brima Baluwa Koroma, praised NP-SL for its leadership role in the downstream petroleum industry. The Director General also highlighted the Company’s immense contribution to revenue generation in the country. “NP-SL is the biological child of Sierra Leone petroleum sector. The Company has expanded its stations in remote places such as Kakuna, Kabala District, and beyond where there were no stations, Mr. Brima Baluwa Koroma noted. “NP-SL is a market leader. The Company spends millions of dollars to make fuel available even in difficult times.”

Reflecting on the previous state of NP Kissy Bye-Pass fuel station, the Operations Manager of NP-SL, Ing. Vandi Bockarie, stated that the fuel station then was small, allowing only two cars at a time. Now it has been expanded and digitized, allowing more cars and providing better customer service.

The Republic of Sierra Leone Armed Forces (RSLAF), Sierra Leone Police and other community representatives welcomed NP Kissy Bye-Pass fuel station, assuring their support to making it the most sought-after fuel station in the Kissy community. NP-SL remains poised and committed in providing fuel to its esteemed customers, and modernizing fuel purchase in Sierra Leone.
