NP (SL) Limited Celebrates Customer Service Week 2026 with a Focus on Going the Extra Mile

Observed from 5 to 9 October under the theme “The Extra Mile,” the week-long celebration provided an opportunity for the Company to highlight the importance of customer service across its operations and to acknowledge the people who interact with customers and represent the NP brand every day.

For NP (SL) Limited, customer service extends beyond the point of purchase. It involves ensuring that customers have access to quality petroleum products, receiving them professionally at service stations and other touchpoints, responding to their concerns, and continuously looking for ways to make their experience better.

The celebration began on Monday, 5 October, with staff turning up in professional attire. The opening activity set the tone for the week by highlighting professionalism as an important part of the customer experience.

On Tuesday, employees added a touch of NP's corporate colours to their outfits, bringing some creativity into the workplace while maintaining the spirit of the celebration. The activity also gave staff an opportunity to express their individuality while carrying the NP identity.

Wednesday saw employees represent their favourite football teams through their choice of jerseys. The relaxed dress theme brought a different energy to the workplace and provided an opportunity for colleagues to connect outside their usual work routines.

Thursday was designated as Denim Day, with staff turning up in jean outfits as the celebration continued.

The week concluded on Friday with “Rep Your Tribe,” a celebration of Sierra Leone's cultural diversity through traditional attire. Staff represented different tribes and cultural backgrounds, making the final day both colourful and reflective of the diversity within the NP SL family.

Beyond the workplace activities, NP's Customer Service Week also provided an opportunity for the Company to take the celebration directly to its customers.

During the week, some lucky customers received gifts as part of the Company's customer appreciation activities. The outreach was intended to recognise customers for their continued patronage and to add a personal touch to the Company's Customer Service Week activities. The initiative reflected a simple message: customers are an important part of NP's operations, and their continued choice of the Company is valued.

The Company's customer-focused approach also extends to the solutions it provides to make transactions and interactions more convenient. Among these is the NP Energy Pass Card, a smart-card solution designed to provide customers with a more convenient way to manage fuel purchases.

In addition to the week's activities, NP also took its customer service conversation to the media through a one-hour television discussion involving members of the Company's team.

The programme provided an opportunity to explain the products, services, and offers that distinguish NP (SL) Limited in Sierra Leone's petroleum marketing industry. The discussion brought together perspectives from different areas of the business, including customer-related services, lubricants and commercial operations, with the Communications Unit facilitating the conversation.

Among the issues discussed was how NP continues to respond to changing customer expectations and provide solutions that make its products and services more accessible and convenient.

The NP Energy Pass Card featured prominently in the discussion as one of the Company's customer-oriented solutions. The programme also allowed viewers and listeners to participate by sending in questions and comments, giving the Company an opportunity to hear directly from members of the public.

Looking beyond the celebration

Customer Service Week may last for only one week, but the expectations associated with good customer service continue throughout the year.

For NP (SL) Limited, the celebration provided a platform to reflect on the Company's relationship with its customers and the need to continually improve the way it serves them.

As customer expectations evolve, businesses are increasingly required to be responsive, accessible and consistent across both physical and digital channels. NP's continued development of customer-focused initiatives, digital solutions and engagement platforms forms part of this broader effort. The Company's commitment is reflected in its longstanding focus on quality products and service, as well as its efforts to listen and respond to customer needs.

The 2026 Customer Service Week therefore ended not simply as a week of themed outfits and activities, but as a reminder of the responsibility that comes with serving customers. For NP (SL) Limited, “The Extra Mile” is ultimately about what happens after the basic requirement has been met: the willingness to listen more carefully, respond more effectively and make the customer experience better.
"The initiative reflected a simple message: customers are an important part of NP's operations, and their continued choice of the Company is valued."

NP remains dedicated to its "1st for Customer Care" motto, ensuring that our growth translates into better services and community development across the West African sub-region.
