NP-SL's CEO Reaffirms Commitment to ISO Standards During Refresher Training
Dr. Kanu made the remarks during the latest ISO Refresher Training held at the New Brookfields Hotel in Freetown, where staff and Management gathered to strengthen their understanding of NP SL’s quality, environmental, and occupational health and safety management systems.
Addressing participants, the CEO emphasized that adherence to ISO standards is not merely about obtaining certification but about embedding a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement throughout the Company. "Our commitment to ISO standards reflects NP's dedication to excellence. We are determined to align our operations with internationally accepted best practices that enhance service delivery, strengthen customer confidence, and position the Company for long-term success."
The CEO highlighted that NP (SL) Limited currently holds three internationally recognized ISO certifications: ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems, ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management Systems, and ISO 45001:2018 Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems. He noted that these certifications demonstrate the Company's commitment to quality service delivery, environmental stewardship, and the health and safety of employees, customers, and stakeholders.
Dr. Kanu further stressed that maintaining these certifications requires the active participation of all employees and stakeholders, underscoring the importance of teamwork, discipline, and continuous learning in sustaining the high standards that NP SL has achieved. "Maintaining our ISO certifications is a collective responsibility. Every employee has a role to play in ensuring that our processes continue to meet the highest standards of quality, environmental management, and occupational health and safety."
As part of its commitment to continuous improvement, NP continues to review and strengthen its operational procedures, enhance internal controls, and promote a culture of quality management throughout the organization. These efforts aim to improve consistency in service delivery, increase operational effectiveness, and ensure compliance with industry regulations and international standards.
Management believes that maintaining its ISO certifications will further enhance NP's reputation as a responsible and customer-focused oil marketing company while reinforcing its commitment to health, safety, environmental responsibility, and quality service.
NP's continued commitment to its ISO-certified management systems forms part of its broader strategy to drive operational excellence, strengthen corporate governance, and deliver greater value to customers, partners, and communities across Sierra Leone.
