Building Excellence Through People
Through structured capacity-building programmes, the Company equips its station teams with the knowledge, skills, and confidence required to provide quality customer service while maintaining strong safety and operational standards.
The recent training initiative brought together teams from Abidjan and some interior locations, with a focus on strengthening employees’ understanding of petroleum product handling, customer relations, safety procedures, and effective station management practices. In Abidjan, fuel station attendants and forecourt supervisors participated in a comprehensive training programme to improve their technical knowledge and enhance their ability to deliver efficient, professional services. A similar session was also extended to teams operating in Divo, Grand-Bereby, and Pont-Nero, where participants received practical guidance on improving daily station operations and customer engagement.
The training covered key areas critical to station performance, including customer reception, petroleum products and equipment handling, fire prevention and emergency response, cash management and fraud prevention, station cleanliness and maintenance, as well as incident management.
Through interactive sessions and practical demonstrations, participants developed a deeper appreciation of the importance of safety in petroleum product handling, including the proper use of fire extinguishers and appropriate responses during emergencies. The programme also reinforced the role of frontline employees as ambassadors of the NP brand, whose daily interactions contribute significantly to customer satisfaction and the overall image of the Company.
Beyond technical competencies, the training encouraged professionalism, teamwork, and a stronger commitment to maintaining clean, safe, and customer-friendly service stations. Participants gained improved knowledge of fuel distribution procedures and a better understanding of the standards required to ensure efficient operations. At the conclusion of the training sessions, participants were awarded certificates in recognition of their successful completion of the programme. The certificates acknowledged their commitment to professional growth and their readiness to apply the knowledge and skills gained in their respective roles.
By placing people at the centre of its operations, NP Côte d’Ivoire continues to strengthen a culture of excellence, safety, and customer satisfaction. Through continuous investment in its workforce, the Company reaffirms its commitment to delivering quality products and dependable services while empowering employees to play an active role in its continued success.
